Pricing and partnership
What are your pricing plans?
CodeChum offers two subscription plans:
- Regular Plan: the essential features and resources, enough for you to teach programming through activities and courses, and for your students to build their coding skills. The price is P250.00 per semester plus 12% VAT.
- Special Plan: everything in the Regular Plan, plus premium resources and personalized support. The price is P350.00 per semester plus 12% VAT.

We don't have a semestral calendar type, do you have other options?
Yes. CodeChum also prices by trimester and by school year.
- For schools on a trimestral calendar: Regular Plan at P200 per trimester plus 12% VAT, Special Plan at P280 per trimester plus 12% VAT.
- For schools on a school-year calendar: Special Plan at P435 per school year.
Are there any additional fees?
Yes. A 12% VAT is applied on top of the subscription fee, so the total is the subscription price plus the VAT. On the Regular Plan at P250.00 per semester, the total comes to P280.00 per semester.
Is the teacher account free?
Yes. Since 2023 the teacher account is free for life.
Our school has a No Collection Policy, can we still avail CodeChum?
Yes. Other schools with the same policy discuss the subscription with their students and hold a majority vote. Once it is agreed, the students pay for their own subscriptions directly, so the school collects nothing.
Will there be a free trial for students?
Yes. Your students get a 15-day free trial as soon as they enroll in a class, and CodeChum shows them how much of it is left. When the trial runs out they subscribe to carry on. The Pricing Plans page walks them through it.

Can you provide an official receipt (OR)?
Yes. Message us on our Facebook page or through our customer representatives to request one.
Using CodeChum
How does the scoring in CodeChum work?
The perfect score of an item is divided equally among its test cases. An item worth 10 points with 5 test cases gives 2 points per test case.
Can I override the score the system gives?
Yes. CodeChum checks your students' code for you, and you can still edit any score by hand at any time. See How to edit student's score.
Can students access CodeChum outside the lab?
Yes. As long as they are connected to the internet, your students can use their own computers or mobile devices.
Can a student retake an activity?
Yes. You can let one student or your whole class answer an activity again. See How to allow your student to retake the activity.
