FAQs

Got questions? Here are quick answers about using CodeChum.

Will there be a free trial for students?

Yes! You will receive a 15-day free trial as soon as you enroll in a class.

This allows you to explore CodeChum and experience its features at no cost. After the trial period expires, you will need to pay for a subscription to continue accessing all the platform's benefits.

What should I do if I forgot my password?

Just click 'Forgot password?' on the login page and follow the instructions to reset it. If you still have issues, contact your teacher or the support team.

What happens if I lose internet connection while taking an exam?

If your connection drops, don’t worry — your progress is automatically saved on our servers at intervals. Once you reconnect, you can continue where you left off. However, your exam timer will continue to run, so try to secure a stable connection during exams.

What happens if I did not finish but the the time limit ran out?

As long as you clicked 'Check Code' on the items you completed, those will still be recorded and graded. Any problems you didn’t submit before the time expired won’t have scores.

How is my code graded?

CodeChum automatically checks your code against a set of test cases to see if it produces the correct output. This helps ensure your solutions are working exactly as required. The total points for the problem are divided equally among all the test cases. For example, if a problem is worth 10 points and there are 5 test cases, each test case is worth 2 points. So the more test cases your code passes, the higher your score.

Can I re-submit my code to improve my score?

Yes! You can re-check and submit your code multiple times, as long as the time limit hasn’t run out.

Can I use CodeChum on my phone or tablet?

Yes, CodeChum works on most modern mobile browsers. You can access and use it on your phone or tablet.

Do I need to install anything, or does it work on browser?

No need to install anything. CodeChum runs entirely on your browser — just open it, log in, and start coding!

Who should I contact if I'm stuck or if something doesn't work?
