How to use CodeChum with LMS
Your school may run its classes on Canvas, Blackboard or Moodle. CodeChum sits alongside whichever one it is: you can sign in with the school account you already have, your teacher can tie a CodeChum class to a class in the LMS, and the scores you earn here can land back there.
All of it hangs on one thing, your CodeChum account being connected to your LMS account. You can see whether it is: click your profile picture at the top right, choose My Account and open Account Information under Account Details. LMS email holds the address of the LMS account you are connected to, and the line under it reads Connected to Canvas, Blackboard or Moodle, with the name as a link that opens your LMS. While nothing is connected it reads Not connected to LMS. instead, and Connect opens the Connect to an LMS today! modal.
Note: Only schools that have finished setting CodeChum up appear in Select a school. If yours is missing, ask your school's administrator to finish the setup, and tick My school does not use an LMS and click Submit to stop being asked.
The moment your account is connected, CodeChum shows LMS connected!. Click Okay there and a Next Steps modal opens, reading Successfully connected to your LMS!, with a link to Auto-enroll into an LMS-linked class and one to Join an LMS-linked class. There are two ways in, depending on whether you have a CodeChum account yet.
